PRODUCT LINE OVERVIEW
DESCRIPTION:
Fibertec muscovite micas are platy minerals, milled to various
bulk densities and particle size distributions. Muscovite micas
are generically a complex group of aluminosilicate minerals
occurring naturally as plates or sheet-like forms. Fibertec micas
can be surface treated to enhance performance in selected resin
systems.
PRIMARY USE:
Fibertec muscovite micas are used as functional fillers providing
reinforcement in thermoplastic and thermoset resins to improve
flexural modulus, tensile strength, impact strength while
minimizing shrinkage and warpage at elevated temperatures. They
are also used in barrier coatings.
